To the editor of The Beaversdam University Journal, I quite enjoyed Professor Roonwit's article on the identity of Price Rilian's legendary companion Jill. But I must protest his easy dismissal of the central question of Jill's identity: can we assume that she is a lioness? Professor Roonwit's points that she comes from the East and his identification of Jill in the carvings of a lioness cub on Rilian's throne seem to me to be weak points when contrasted with the ancient poem "Pole for Eels and Scrub them Clean"...
