In some ways, life had been easier for Mazikeen back in the days when she believed herself to be incapable of love, invulnerable. As Eve couldn’t or wouldn’t see what was under her nose, a part of Mazikeen wished she still felt that way, that she hadn’t opened her heart and her mind to the possibility of love, and so turning her back on her friends and turning towards Michael proved too tempting.

She and Eve are happy now, and she has Linda, and Chloe and Trixie, and Amenadiel, even Dan became a friend, and Lucifer stuck with her even after she gave him so many reasons to walk away, and Mazikeen now understands that actually, this demon can feel more than one kind of love.
