Elisa buried her face in her hands and sank into her couch. "My mother's in the hospital, Derek and Goliath are missing, and to top it all off, I have you messing around in my kitchen!"

"There, there, Detective Maza." Xanatos strode into the living room and set a large mug of hot tea on the coffee table in front of her. "Have some tea."

"Do you really think that's going to make any of this better?" Elisa snapped.

"It won't magically make Goliath and Derek appear, and it won't heal your mother," Xanatos said, "but I've personally found that a good cup of tea means one thing is going right, and that's something, at least."
