"Ianto!" Jack nearly shouted in his ear, and Ianto smiled. "Are you all right? What happened? You just disappeared!"

"I'm all right," Ianto assured him, leaning against the wall and watching the galaxy whirl by, "just a little far from home . . . for now. I'll be home soon."

"Ian. . ." Jack sounded so relieved, warm and worried and affectionate, that Ianto thought he might just about forgive the utter distraction that he knew would immediately take Jack's attention when the Doctor brought him back.
