They manage to make it through the entire movie without Xialing exchanging a single word one-on-one with her father. He speaks to Katy even more that he speaks to her! It really does drive home the whole "nod, don't speak" thing, but urgh...

also, lol @ me, what are tenses...this is why 99% I don't write present tense. I forget after two sentences and revert back to past tense.
