He supposed at first it had been a bit of a joke; Lucas inserting Henry's figure in various historical pictures with the comment, 'What would Henry deduce?' But by the time some of the others around him were doing the same, it was going a bit far, especially when Abe produced a picture of what was purportedly King Canute failing to order the tide back, with Henry in the background, still deducing. The real trouble was that for far too many of the pictures, Henry could quite clearly remember what he had thought at the time.
