"You're such a savescummer" Kyoko grouses, taking another bite out of a meatbun. Homura had brought bags bulging with food, like she personally cleared out a konbini, so Kyoko only groused and nothing more.
"And you're a hoarder." Homura primly shot back. Then, after a brief pause, "An item holder."
Eh, she didn't say anything Kyoko didn't know. She waved the other girl off. "Hey, never know when shit's gonna go south and you need like, ten revives in a row."
"If I were to die ten times in a row, then I am ill prepared and need to restart and level more."
"Ahh, isnt that so boring? Do you only fight when you're guaranteed to win?"
No, Homura didn't say, just as Kyoko didn't talk about how she ate and ate, keeping the food safe in her stomach rather than risk keeping it out too long, to get lost, to rot, to get stolen. "I like seeing effort pay off."
Kyoko nodded, turning back to the little screen. She didn't really know how they became friends, exactly, but Homura wasn't too a bad chick when you got over the whole doom 'n' gloom thing. Especially since she was so generous! So Kyoko didn't mind sharing what little she had, including her old gameboy. Thing was a brick, and could survive getting dropped or stepped on or whatever.
Halved Sorrow, Doubled Joy (PMMM, Homura + Kyoko)

It was nice, being able to share again.
