Spring is a time of rebirth, of the world awakening again, of Persephone rising, and she loves it. She loves the reunion with her mother, with the world above, loves walking barefoot in the grass and sewing seeds of life in the fields.
But spring turns into summer, long days full of blazing light and heat, and the Queen of the Underworld longs for her King, spending her nights restless and aching for his touch.
Summer turns to fall and the days grown shorter and Persephone finds joy in the harvest, blessing all those who reap and gather and prepare for the winter months — just as she prepares for her return to Hades.
