Wei Wuxian doesn't know which of them has moved in their sleep, but the space he'd purposely left between himself and Jiang Cheng has all but vanished during the night; instead of a respectable distance between their bodies, Jiang Cheng has one arm thrown across Wei Wuxian's chest and his leg curled around Wei Wuxian's ankle.

Wei Wuxian considers sliding out from the embrace, moving back to the far side of the sleeping area, but he can't convince himself to actually break the contact (he tells himself he doesn't want to wake Jiang Cheng and have to deal with his crankiness, but he's aware enough to know he's lying to himself).

Instead, he closes his eyes, lets his fingers rest gently over Jiang Cheng's, and allows himself a few more minutes to pretend that this is real.
