Downton Abbey, Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries (Edith Crawley, Phryne Fisher)

(Spoilers for the last season of Downton Abbey and Miss Fisher and the Crypt of Tears. Also, this is a bit more like women being subtly awesome here...)

According to her sources, it was the most sought after interview amongst the Fleet Streeet papers and it was one Edith knew she'd never get for her little society magazine but it had been worth a try—after all, who wouldn't want to hear more about the female aristocrat-turned-detective literally crashing into her own memorial service in a biplane?

Therefore, it had been a complete shock when the Honourable Miss Phryne Fisher suddenly appeared on the doorstep of The Sketch the next morning, dangling Edith's simply penned note in front of her with a gloved hand.

After taking the seat Edith offered, Miss Fisher studied her hostess for a moment before breaking into a smile and said, "Lady Edith Crawley, of all the requests I've received since my unexpected arrival in London, none have been as refreshingly frank as yours and how could I possibly say no to another woman who clearly loves to challenge this male-dominated world like I do?"
