Helplessness is a difficult thing to get over, Jack had been helpless to change much for most of his life as a spirit. Being a guardian and being able to make changes was new and required courage he wasn’t sure he had. It had been easy when they were fighting Pitch – adrenaline was after all, just courage pumped straight into your brain. The after was harder. Humans could see him now and the other guardians actually paid attention to what he was doing. Why he couldn’t fathom but courage was just one step after another and the guardians were his friends. They weren’t looking for mistakes. They were looking for ways to help.
