Steve always liked the idea of being the big hero, and after some of the things he’d fought off, he felt like he was halfway there. The other half was taking a CPR course, in case anyone needed to be brought back from the death or brink of it in front of him. When his science teacher had a heart attack, it was his time to shine; or at least it would have been if he remembered to do the chest compressions to the tune of ‘Stayin’ Alive’ by singing the song in his head, not out loud for his horrified classmates to hear.
