He finds Stiles where the wolfsbane spiral was once upon a time, surrounded by symbols dug into the ground around him, cold wind whistling through the trees. Derek breathes in, checks for scents and signs that he shouldn't cross lines and he finds none.

As he picks Stiles up to carry him back to the car and into town, he hears the faint and weak whisper, words that he didn't let himself believe.

"There'a a way to bring them all back, every one. I'm gonna make it happen."

Derek doesn't ask, doesn't need to. He just hopes he's not going to lose Stiles in the process.
