I love this! The characters are so, so distinctly themselves in the dialogue. Like, Tor would SO champion Aerin's right to the throne before himself, and Aerin would so not give a rat's ass about being unconventional.

And Luthe! I swear you have his manner down perfectly.

'The king and queen have made the vaguely ominous wizard of the mountains into their mutual lover and potentially diluted the bloodline.
