But all Zuko can picture are the people he's met in the Earth Kingdom: the ones with burn scars like Song (like him), the ones who knew their identities and helped them anyway, the refugees in Ba Sing Se and Li's family in the desert and even the Freedom Fighters, proven right after all as Zuko's tongue stays glued to the roof of his mouth.
As the war meeting comes to a close, Zuko can't help but think that victory tastes like ash.
