In the end, she thinks, in the end the only way to make a better world is to believe that it's worth making one. It's gross and tastes like crap in her mouth, and she knows that Vriska would probably beat the shit out of her for that kind of idealism - but she watches John and Rose and Karkat and the rest open the door into a different universe and she hopes - she hopes it's a better one.

And besides, it's idealism that keeps her searching all this time - idealism that lets her think that Vriska's just hiding, that she'll come back eventually. Or stupidity. That's an option too.
