Kanan made the grave error of assuming the rules didn’t apply to him. “Hey, the exhaust systems look really good!” Ezra commented, making a grave error of his own. “Which rule did you break?” “Not that it’s any of your business,” Kanan growled, “but I’m about to break one more.” Ezra swallowed. “No strangling your apprentice?” he guessed with a weak grin. “No delegating my own punishments to my apprentice under threat of further punishment,” Kanan corrected. “That’s oddly specific,” laughed Ezra. “So what’s the punishment for breaking that rule?” Kanan’s answering grin was positively feral. “Worth it.”
