So in Minnesota there's thing called "creama" as in cream of mushroom soup, cream of celery soup, and cream of chicken soup. Creama is invariably on sale at Cub Foods and other places right next to Big Top Liquor where the beer is cheaper than soda pop. You see, Creama is an essential ingredient in wild rice hot dish, which in its purest form contains the following:

2 (6.2-ounce) packages fast-cooking long-grain and wild rice mix
1/4 cup butter or margarine
4 celery ribs,
chopped 2 medium onions,
chopped 2 (8-ounce) cans sliced water chestnuts,
drained 5 cups chopped cooked chicken
4 cups (1 pound) shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
2 (10 3/4-ounce) cans cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
1 (16-ounce) container sour cream
1 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon pepper
2 cups soft breadcrumbs (homemade) 1 (2.25-ounce) package sliced almonds, toasted

Why yes, that's creama, and sour cream and whole milk and cheese. it's amazing and 20 years ago was guaranteed to appear at the potluck for every one of your major life events, from birth and christening, to your wake. It's a close relation of the tuna noodle casserole. Do you have Midwestern in your roots?
