I think I worded that badly. I meant Daryl's pov when he and Merle are at the camp and Shane is running things, not that Daryl and Shane are running things together, that would be very AU :)

In some of those fics (as far as I recall) Daryl would never put himself forward for leadership which is true to his early seasons and would hunt etc but wasn't too fond of Shane taking charge and then when Rick showed up it was a different style of doing things.
